Cooper Triplett

Gurnie Cooper Triplett, age 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at his residence. He was born February 23, 1943, in Watauga County, to Reba and Gurnie Triplett. He worked for Precision Pools and was loved by all his customers dearly. Cooper truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with his friends and family, going fishing, and being a poppy to many were a few of his favorite pastimes. He was the most amazing husband, father, and grandfather. Cooper is survived by his wife Carolyn Triplett, daughters Angie Moore and Melanie Keen, stepchildren Vicki Parsons, Jeff Watson, Angie Peele, and grandchildren Brittany and Nicole Moore and KJ and Madison Keen. He was predeceased by his stepson Terry Watson. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him. To know him is to love him. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. A celebration of Cooper’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jim Lee officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service. Social distancing and face masks are required.
