Coach Lee Walker

Lenoir – Coach Lee “Bunny” Walker, 65, of Lenoir, passed away at his residence on February 9, 2019. Lee was born in Catawba County on January 14, 1954 to the late Ivey and Novella Walker. Lee attended Bethel Advent Christian Church for many years. Lee loved his dachshunds, was an avid hunter, loved the outdoors, and a “jack of all trades” who helped many with anything mechanical. In addition to his parents, Lee is preceded in death by wife Katherine Dennette Walker. He is preceded by a sister, Doris Watts. Lee, also, is preceded in death by four brothers in law. Lee is survived by his sister Linda Boling and husband Jack of Conover and brother Ivey Walker Jr and wife Karen of Chesapeake, VA. Lee, also, is survived by several nieces and nephews. Lee leaves behind his beloved companion, Barbara Thornburg. The family will have a memorial service for Lee on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Bethel Advent Christian Church; officiated by Pastor Jerry Burnette.
