Lenoir, NC- Mr. Clyde Dean Estes, Sr. age 57, of Cameo Lane, went to be with the Lord May 17, 2006. A native of Caldwell County, Mr. Estes was a son of the late Clyde Ray Estes and Julia McGarr Black. He is survived by his soul mate of 37 years, Gladys; a daughter, Paula Estes Hawkins of Lenoir; his son Clyde Dean Estes, Jr. and wife Leslie of Indianapolis, Indiana; a son Steve Coffey of Indianapolis, Indiana, 7 granddaughters, Jesse, Amanda, Brandy, Carlie, Brittany, Hanna and Victoria; 2 grandsons, Brandon and Chris; 4 sisters, Judith Lefever and husband Eddie; Debby Marshall, Karen Kincaid and husband Louis, Robin Newman and husband Dan all of Lenoir; 3 half-brothers, Ray, Dennis and Larry Estes all of Lenoir. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Bertha McGarr and a half-brother, Robert Black. A celebration of life service for Mr. Estes will be held Saturday, May 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Divine Grace Baptist Church with Reverend Dan Newman and Reverend Matthew Watson officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, May 19, 2006 from 6 until 7:30 PM at Evans Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to the Divine Grace Baptist Church, 1404 Blowing Rock Blvd, Lenoir, NC 28645.
