Lenoir, NC- Mr. Clifford Bruce Bryant went to be on the Lord?s heavenly team on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. He was born on March 17, 1939 to William J. and Ruth Jenkins Bryant in Caldwell County. He was preceded in death by his parents and his only brother, Carl E. Bryant, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Scotty Reid Bryant of the home; his nephews and their families, Carl E. Bryant, Jr. and wife Joy of Kurie Beach and Nashville, TN, his great nephew, Dr. Andrew Bryant and wife Jessica, and great-great nephew, Porter, of Nashville, TN. A nephew Robyn Scott Bryant and wife, Tonya, and great niece, Caitlyn, of Granite Falls, NC; He had extended family with children, they are Lori and Bill Sullivan with their children, Emily Isabel and William ?Will? Eli. Uncle Boo-Boo was a name all the children knew well. An Avid cook, Bruce had to have large pots for cooking on the weekends. As a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church, he had attended there all his life. He served two years in the Army as a Military Policeman. His station was in Germany where he had served as part of the special guard for President John Kennedy when he visited the Berlin Wall. A celebration of life will be on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be Reverend Edyth Pruitt and Reverend Lester Honson. Burial will be private. A reception will be held after the celebration of life in Beall Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Fairview Presbyterian Church at 111 Fairview Drive NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
