Clidia Triplett Griffies

Clidia Griffies Lenoir – Mrs. Clidia Triplett Griffies, age 75, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Caldwell Hospice. She was born in Watauga County on April 15, 1939 to the late Clyde Triplett and Edna Wheeler Triplett. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Griffies; brother, Jack Triplett; and sister, Ailene Watson. Mrs. Griffies is survived by her three daughters, Cynthia McGhee; Julie Land and husband, Chris; Sandra Anders and husband, Edward; sister, Linda Stewart and husband, Jimmy; grandchildren, Teia Cornett and husband, Lloyd; Matthew Griffies and wife, Amber; Ana Knight and husband, Coy; great-grandchildren, Makaylia Shai Cornett; Landon Eric Cornett; Katana Paige Cornett; Jason Thomas Griffies; Aubree Marie Griffies; and Bentley Charles Knight; and numerous other relatives. A celebration of Mrs. Griffies life will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Whitnel at 2:00 with Pastor Stuart White officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Landon Cornett, Matthew Griffies, Chris Land, Edward Anders, Lloyd Cornett and Coy Knight. Honorary pallbearers are Andrew Franklin and Michael Woodie. The family will receive friend in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 6:00 until 7:30 PM.
