Claudia Ann Hendrix

February 20, 1940 — January 14, 2006

Hudson, NC- Miss Claudia Ann Hendrix, age 65, of Ridge Street, Hudson, died Saturday evening, January 14, 2006 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. A native of Caldwell County, Miss Hendrix was a daughter of the late Albert Brant and Lottie Lester Smith Hendrix. She was a homemaker and a member of Refuge Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving Miss Hendrix is her brother Robert Michael Hendrix and his wife Jean of Hudson, two sisters, Mrs. Eugene (Mary Lee) Elliott of Hickory, Mrs. Jerry (Patricia) Woodie of Hudson; 15 nieces, 16 nephews, 9 great-nieces, 16 great-nephews and her wonderful church family at Refuge. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Howard Hasting Hendrix, Frank Marshall Hendrix, three sisters, Lottie Alberta Shatley, Jewel Eva Adams and Dorothy Evelyn Hendrix. A celebration of Miss Hendrix̢۪ life will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Refuge Missionary Baptist Church in Hudson with Reverend Jerry Woodie officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Graveside services will be conducted 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Because of the love Claudia had for her church, she requested memorials be made to Refuge Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, Mission Fund or Youth Fund, 375 Mt. Herman Road, Hudson, NC 28638.
