Claude Allen Watson

Mr. Claude Allen Watson, age 79, of Lenoir passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at his home.

Born on May 12, 1943 in Watauga County, Claude was a son of the late Levi and Ruby Watson.  Claude worked as a truck driver for many years.  He loved to dance and watch Nascar races.  The thing he enjoyed most was making windchimes for the community.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Jean and Linda.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Betty Felts Watson; his daughters, Angela Campbell (husband William) and Cheryl Martin (husband Thomas); his siblings, Janice, Joyce, Ruth, Wayne, David, Roy and Marty; his grandchildren, Casey, Alex, Zach, Noah and Lani; a great grandchild, Logan; he is also survived by numerous other relatives.

A memorial service celebrating Claude’s life will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor Andy Watson officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
