Clarence Whisnant

Claremont – Mr. Clarence William Whisnant, age 70, of Claremont, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at his home.Born March 30, 1945 in Caldwell County, he was a son of Mrs. Mable Crisp Whisnant of Lenoir and the late Luther Whisnant and the husband of the late Sandra Schoolcraft Whisnant. Other than his wife and father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shelby Jean Hollars and brother, Luther Junior Whisnant. Surviving other than his mother is his daughter, Dawn Whisnant of Morganton; two grandsons, Keegan and Easton, both of Morganton; two sisters, Charlene Watson and husband Gene of Hudson; Mavis Caldwell andhusband Ernie of Lenoir and his special friend, Linda Mull of Vale. A memorial service for Mr. Whisnant will be held at a later date. The family respectfully requests memorials be made to Catawba Regional Hospice Foundation, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
