Mr. Clarence Louis Lindon, age 65, of Lenoir, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at his home. Born June 12, 1948 in Caldwell County, Clarence was a son of the late Clarence and Fannie Ferguson Lindon. Clarence was a veteran of the service having served in the United States Army. He attended the Mount Bethel Mitchell Chapel A.M.E. Church. Clarence enjoyed walking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Clay Lindon and Ernest M. Lindon. Survivors include a daughter Tracy Nelson; three sisters, Annie Denny, Junie Patterson, and Jessie Jones; Clarence is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A celebration of Clarence’s life will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service at 2:00 PM with Bishop George E. Morgan and Reverend Jimmy Norwood officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Laurel Haven Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Mount Bethel Mitchell Chapel A.M.E. Church.
