Clarence Cartner Lenoir – Clarence Thomas Cartner, age 61, passed away on July 17, 2014 at Caldwell Hospice. He was born in Statesville, NC on October 21, 1952 to the late Harold Caldwell Cartner, Sr. and Edith Beck Cartner. Clarence worked for Flowers Bakery and was a master carpenter. He graduated from West Rowan High School. He is survived by the love of his life, Diane Small; son, Michael Cartner; step-children, Crystal Small and Brent Small and wife, Nikki; brothers, Harold Cartner and wife, Debi; Bob Cartner and wife, Pam; and Dana Cartner; in-laws, Jewel and David Land; eight grandchildren; and a very special aunt, Tronia Gibson. A celebration of Clarence’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Bobby Pritchard and Pastor Josh Wallace officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ronnie McIntyre, Bob Cartner, Eddie Land, Dana Cartner, John Land, David Land and Steve Myers. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
