Christopher Kelly Jones

Claremont – Christopher Kelly Jones, Sr. age 53, of Claremont, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at his home.Born November 23, 1961 in Catawba County, Christopher was a son of the late Bobby Gene Jones, Sr. and Mrs. Betty Austin Hicks of Claremont. He was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church in Hudson and had worked as an upholsterer with Bernhardt Furniture Company. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Devan Jones; one brother, Donald Jones and two sisters, Candy Hayes and Kathy Hudson. Surviving other than his mother are two sons, Christopher Kelly Jones, Jr. and Michael Charles Jones, both of Hudson; one sister, Nancy Jones Crowder of Claremont; two brothers, Bobby Gene Jones, Jr. of Lenoir; Jeffery William Jones and wife Susan of Danielson, CT and two grandchildren, Sierra Marie Jones and Payton Shawn Jones. A celebration of Christopher’s life will be 2:30 PM Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Harris Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Burgett officiating.The family will receive friends following the service.
