Christopher "Chris" Ryan Byrd

Christopher “Chris” Ryan Byrd, age 33, passed away on October 2, 2024, in Lenoir, NC.  He was born to Chandra Lea Byrd on November 6, 1990, in Burke County, NC.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his uncle, William Lanier, and his great-grandmother, Maude Holsclaw.

He is survived by his father, Timon Michaux, sister, Jaylan Rose Horton, grandparents, Lois Byrd and Mickey Byrd, special brother, Manny Michaux, great-uncles, Jerry, Michael, Leonard, Herbert and Robert Holsclaw, great-aunts, Doris and Pam Holsclaw and Linda Heffner.

Chris was an intelligent, sensitive and caring person who always had a disarming smile and respect for those he met.  He was a ray of sunshine in his Mamaw Lois’ s life and he was loved unconditionally by his Pa, Mickey.  Chris will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and all those who knew and loved him.  He had every gift but the gift of years.  So, Christopher, may you rest in peace, “and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand”.
