Christopher Lee Avery

Christopher Lee Avery, 39, of Lenoir, NC passed away on August 26, 2023.

Chris was born on October 27, 1983 to Janice (Waters) Townsend and the late Kenneth Avery.

In addition to his father, Chris is preceded in death by grandparents; Lawrence L. Waters and Provia C. Waters, Pete Avery and Freida Avery.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Janice (Waters) Townsend, brothers; Wayne Townsend and Cody Avery; step-mother; Brenda Avery; two nieces; Haley and Sarah, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and his little dog; Hoowha.

Chris loved his country and enjoyed his time in the Army protecting his fellow Americans.

The family wishes everyone to remember Chris at his best.

There will be no services at this time.
