Christine Waddill Overton

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Christine “Chris” Waddill Overton, age 81, of Powell Circle, died Sunday, March 12, 2006 at her home. A native of Brady, Texas, Mrs. Overton was the daughter of the late Otis Cornelius and Floyce King Waddill and the wife of James “Jim” E. Overton of the home. Surviving other than her husband is her son and “daughter-in-love” Bob James and Kay Overton of Lenoir and three grandchildren, Brian Overton, Grawyn Overton and Caitlin Overton, all of Lenoir. Preceding her in death other than her parents is one son, Bryan Ray Overton and one brother, Otis Waddill, Jr. A celebration of Mrs. Overton’s life will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at Lower Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Bob Fulmer and Reverend Bert Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 14, 2006 from 6 until 8 PM at Lower Creek Baptist Church.
