Chris Oldaker

Chris Oldaker Christopher Shawn Oldaker, born July 8, 1985, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 after a long hard battle with addiction.Chris graduated from J.M. Robinson High School with Honors, and graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from ECPI University. Chris was the beloved son of Robert and Jenny Kent, brother to Andy Oldaker, Dillon and Hunter Church, Robbie, Andrew and Claire Kent and uncle to Gunnar Oldaker.Chris was an active member of College Avenue Baptist Church where he played guitar as a part of the worship team every Sunday.Chris had recently been the primary caretaker for his grandmother, Evelyn Benge, who died on January 6, 2018.Chris also gave time and care to his grandfather, Bill Benge, who he loved dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 3rd at 3:00 pm at College Avenue Baptist Church, Lenoir, NC.
