Ferguson, NC- Chester ?Chuck? Stanley Chandler, age 54, of Ferguson died Thursday, September 3, 2009 at his home. Born June 24, 1955 in Caldwell County, Mr. Chandler was a son of the late Jones Luther and Mabel Estelle Ritch Chandler. He was a Karate instructor, an avid hunter and had served in the U.S. Marines.   Chuck was a professional artist and writer and was a member of New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Larry Dale Chandler, Joseph ?Joey? Loyd Chandler, Robert ?Bob? Ernest Chandler and James Eugene Chandler. He is survived by one son, Jerome Lee Chandler of Lenoir; one step-daughter, Christy Ann Jones of Maiden; 2 sisters, Kathy Elaine Jorden and Faye Evelena Pritchard and husband Charles, both of Lenoir; 2 brothers, Raymond Edward Chandler of Hudson; Kenneth Earl Chandler and wife Judy of Pensacola, FL; one granddaughter, Alaina Karoline Chandler and one step-grandson, Andrew Jones and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of Chuck?s life will be held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, October 5, 2009 at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00, one hour prior to the service at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church.
