Charlotte Dillard Pope

Charlotte Dillard Pope, age 87, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on January 28, 2023. Charlotte was born on March 3, 1935 to the late Charles Thomas Dillard and Burlie Cantor Dillard. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Pope; brother, Virgil Dillard, John Dillard, Lester Dillard, Mansfield Dillard; sisters, Ruby Dillard, Sylvania Dillard, Maggie Clark, Lucille Rose; and granddaughter, Erin Hamby. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sheila Quinn (husband, Paul), Lisa Hamby (husband, Chris); son, Eric Pope (wife, Tammy); grandson, Lucas Hamby. Charlotte loved flowers, gardening, traveling, front porch sitting, and decorating. She was a member of Laytown Baptist Church and very strong in her faith. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 2:00PM at Laytown Baptist Church cemetery in Lenoir with Pastor Alan Miller and Jimmy Church officiating.
