Charlie Soots

Charlie Willie Soots passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at his home. Born July 8, 1940 in Caldwell County, he was a son of the late Bill and Ollie Soots.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, AV, Harold and Walter Soots; a sister Maggie Gragg. Mr. Soots was a member of Heritage Pentecostal Church and worked as a meat cutter and meat department market manager for his whole work career. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nola Soots of the home; a daughter, Felicia McCall (husband Philip); two grandsons, Bryan and Dustin McCall; a sister, Katrina Pitts; brothers, Bradley Soots, Ray Soots and numerous nephews and nieces. There will be a private graveside service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Pastor Waitsel Beard officiating.
