Charles "Stanley" Warren

Charles “Stanley” Warren, 79, of Collettsville, NC, went to his Heavenly home on Sunday, January 21, 2024.

Stanley was born on June 12, 1944, to the late Woodrow and Margaret Warren.

In addition to his parents, Stanley is preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Marie Warren; sister, Emma Ann Dupin, father-in-law, Joseph Cisero Greene, and furry companion Scooby.

Those left to cherish Stanley’s memory are his wife of 52 years, Janice Maxine Warren; daughter, Tammy Warren Moore (Allen); grandchildren, Matthew Moore (Casey), Makayla Ryan (Damien); great grandchildren; Joseph and Isabella Moore, Hunter and Holden Ryan; friends, Floyd Key, Jerry Gragg, Buddy Dishman, Carroll Greene, Chris Anderson; cousin; Toie Watson; furry companions, Pebbles and Nugget; his care-giver for 5 years; Denisa Hammons, and numerous other relatives.

Stanley’s favorite hobbies were fishing, firefighting with Collettsville Fire Department, being part of Lenoir Rescue Squad, spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great grand babies.

He served in the United States Army where he completed two tours in Vietnam and one tour in Korea.  Stanley received the Purple Heart award for his courageous service for our country.

A visitation at Evans Funeral Service for family and friends will be held Sunday, January 28, 2024, 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM, a funeral service to celebrate Stanley’s life will follow, on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 2:30 PM with Preacher Kenneth Poarch officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.

Serving as pallbearers will be Damien Ryan, Buddy Dishman, Jerry Gragg, Carroll Greene, Jonathon Norris, and Matthew Price.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Chris Anderson, Garland Watson, and Mitch McLean.

Serving as junior honorary pallbearers are Joseph Moore, Hunter Ryan and Isabella Moore.
