Charles Leon Vannoy

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Charles ?Charlie? Leon Vannoy, age 70, of Lenoir, died Saturday, August 25, 2007 at his home. Born December 27, 1936 in Ashe County, Mr. Vannoy was a son of the late Charlie Albert and Beulah Ethel Bare Vannoy. He was a member of Zack?s Fork Baptist Church and the Carolina Cruisers Car Club. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Faye Yandell Vannoy; one daughter, Rhonda Burgess and husband Dennis of Granite Falls; one son, Jeffrey Vannoy and wife Amanda of Lenoir; one brother, J.V. ?Buddy? Vannoy of Lenoir; one sister, Violet Walsh and husband Roy of Lenoir; one grandson, Wesley Walker of Blue Ridge, GA; one granddaughter, Sarah Burgess of Granite Falls and one great-granddaughter, Danika Vannoy. A celebration of Mr. Vannoy?s life will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Zack?s Fork Baptist Church with Reverend Ronnie Watson and Reverend Hugh Kincaid officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:30 until 7:00 PM, prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be: Charles Kincaid, Shuford Coffey, Johnny Robbins, Jerry Walsh, A.E.
