Charles Roger Pritchard

Mr. Charles Roger Pritchard, age 75, of Lenoir went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. Born May 16, 1943 in Caldwell County, Charles was a son of the late Arthur and Ethel Poarch Pritchard.He was Baptist by faith and a member of New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church. Charles was a sound technician and enjoyed playing music.He was a bass guitarist and played in a country music band.He worked many years as a ripsaw operator at Broyhill Furniture (Pacemaker Plant).He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Pritchard, Johnny Pritchard; a sister, Joyce Canipe. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Faye Evolena Chandler Pritchard of the Home; a son, James Daniel “Danny” Pritchard(wife Erika) of Raleigh; a sister, Barbara Blevins (husband Marshall) of Lenoir; two sisters in law, Carol Pritchard of Collettsville and Magdaline Pritchard of Lenoir; a granddaughter, Amy Danielle Pritchard of Raleigh; a sister in law, Kathy Jordan of Lenoir; a brother in law, Kenneth Earl Chandler (wife Judy) of Pensecola, FL, Raymond Edward Chandler of Hudson; He is also survived by a large number of nieces and nephews. A celebration of Charles’ life will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM at New Beginning Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Buchanan and Preacher Jimmy Hamby officiating.Interment will follow in the Bethany Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC28645 or to New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church at 4415 Calico Road, Lenoir, NC28645.
