Charles Dillon Pennell

Charles Dillon Pennell, age 82, of Lenoir, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare.He was born April 13, 1937 in Caldwell County to the late Howard and Callie Jane Pennell.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, brothers, Council, Bill, Bynum, and Earl Pennell; sisters, Edna Reavis and Juanita Baldwin; great-grandson, Oliver Johnson. Survivors include his wife Barbara Johnson Pennell; sons, Ronald Charles Pennell and Mark Lavern Pennell; daughter, Teresa Hartley and husband Mike; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Haynes and Betty Church. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 24, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Evans Funeral Service Chapel conducted by Rev. Michael Church.Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
