Charles Jc Mundy

Charles Mundy, 74, of Granite Falls, NC passed away on September 16, 2022, after a period of declining health. Charles was born on December 18, 1947, to the late Charles and Eunice Munday. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters Mary Herman and Shirley Reid. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Dennis Mundy (Crystal), and Michael Mundy (Vickie); longtime friend, caregiver, and significant other Tina Keller, two sisters, Evelyn Hines, and Charlene Townsend; two granddaughters, Karsyn and Kailey (Casey); great-grandchildren, Kylah, Jocelyn, Caden, and numerous nieces and nephews, and his favorite furry feline, Bandit. Charles was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Charles retired from the DOT after 30 years of service. He went above and beyond his duties as supervisor. He loved to drag race, build cars, and just be on the track with his boys. Charles loved his family and friends. He still loved and cherished his lifelong friends until his passing. He will be immensely missed by all those who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Chapel of Evans on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 5:00 PM with a visitation from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Military Honors will be provided by the NC National Guard and Caldwell County Veterans Guard.
