Charles Michael Meyer

Granite Falls – Charles “Chuck” Michael Meyer, age 76, passed away on June 12, 2016 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. He was born in Livingston, IL on November 4, 1939 to the late Clarence and Sally Meyer. Chuck was married to Willette “Billie”Hetzel of the residence for over 55 years. Chuck graduated from Livingston High School in 1957 and then attended Illinois State. He went to work for International Paper and in 1979 they moved he and Billie to North Carolina where Chuck worked at their Hudson, NC plant. When International Paper closed, he went to work for Sealed Air that had moved into the same plant. Chuck loved spending his spare time hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Meyer. Other than his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Tami Caudle and husband, Brian; son, Chuck Meyer and wife, Pam; sister, Pat Isaacs; grandchildren, Kayleigh Martin and husband Brandon; Kyle Caudle; and Charles Meyer. The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
