Charles Phillip Mast

Patterson, NC- Charles Phillip Mast, age 50, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center. He was born in Caldwell County on January 3, 1963 to Bernice Ward Mast and the late Claude David Mast. Charles worked at Thomasville Furniture and was known for his good work ethics. His friends in the community and workplace had the highest regards for him. He was a member of Yadkin Baptist Church. Other than his father he was preceded in death by his brother, David Carrol Mast; aunts, Mary Moore Mast and Lilly Moore Mast; uncles, Frank Mast and Jim Mast. In addition to his mother he is survived by brothers, Claude M. Mast and wife Tammy of Patterson; Christopher B. Mast of Morganton; Edward Mast and wife Kay of Patterson; niece, Britney Mast; nephews, Nicholas and Thomas Mast; aunts, Katie Watson and Paulette Greene; uncle, Howard Ward; and several cousins. A celebration of Charles̢۪ life will be held at Yadkin Baptist Church on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Robert Livingston officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Claude Mast, Chris Mast, Ed Mast, Thomas Mast, Jeff Hamby, and Greg Elrod. The family will receive friends at Yadkin Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 7:00 until 8:30 PM.
