Charles "Chuck" Lovins

November 6, 1957 — January 23, 2025

Charles "Chuck" Keathley Lovins joined the Church Triumphant on January 23, 2025. Chuck was born in Lenoir, North Carolina on November 6, 1957 to the late Barbara Andrews Lovins and Charles Franklin Lovins.
Chuck is survived by his Life Partner of 32 years, Chad Barnes, brother Kent Lovins (Donna), brother Greg Lovins ( Tammy) and sister Amy Lovins Wright (Major) and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Chuck graduated from Hibriten High School in Lenoir, NC and then attended Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, NC.

Chuck retired as a Network Manager from AT&T Telecommunication Company after more than 40 years of service. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Lenoir and dearly loved his church family. He enjoyed lovingly restoring and maintaining their historic home, “Ivalee “, in uptown Lenoir, visiting Asheville, NC, Charleston SC, Savannah, GA  and spending time with beloved family and friends. He especially enjoyed spoiling their little labradoodle, Roy!

A memorial service for Chuck will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in Lenoir, on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 2:00 pm followed by a reception in the Hogan Room. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. James Episcopal Church 802 College Ave SW,  Lenoir, NC  28645, or a charity of your choice. The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to beloved family and friends, St. James Episcopal Church, St. John’s Lutheran Church , and St. Stephens Lutheran Church for your love and support!
