Charles William Horton

Charles William Horton, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. He was born in Wilkes County on August 7, 1936.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Billie Josephine Horton, 2 brothers, and 5 sisters.

Charles was a family man who loved his sons, granddaughters, and great grandsons very much. He loved to be outdoors, fishing, hunting, humming songs, and wearing hats. He was a great storyteller and loved to make others laugh.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother Eugene Horton, sister Bill Horton, sons, Terry Patterson and Charles Barry Horton; granddaughters, Brooke Horton and Danielle Covington, and 5 great grandsons.

A celebration of Charles' life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Dulatown Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 prior to the service.
