Lenoir, NC- Mr. Charles Douglas ?Doug? Triplett, age 68, of Lenoir, died Saturday, July 12, 2008 in his home. Born September 26, 1939 in Caldwell County, he was a son of the late Charles Monroe and Ida Greene Triplett. Mr. Triplett was a member of Miller Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing and playing the piano. He is survived by two daughters, Lana Barlow and husband Bill and Debbie Younce Teague and husband Faron, all of Hudson; two sons, Charles David Triplett of Hudson, Richard Douglas Triplett and wife Dee Dee of Lenoir; 4 sisters, Ruth Daye of Morganton; Sue Smith; Joan Houk and husband Camuel all of Hudson; Judy Farmer and husband Don of Lenoir; one brother, Bill Triplett of Lenoir; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Triplett Church. A celebration of Mr. Triplett?s life will be held 7:30 PM Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Miller Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Steven Walsh and Reverend Nicky Waters officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:30 until 7:30 PM, one hour prior to the service at Miller Hill Baptist Church.
