Charles Junior Bridges

Mr. Charles Junior Bridges, age 70, of Lenoir passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Born May 30, 1947 in Caldwell County, Charles was a son of the late Charles Author and Katherine Scott Bridges.Charles enjoyed sitting on his porch and had worked for the city of Lenoir for many years.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cadriene Michelle Rich; two brothers, Fred Douglas Bridges and James Larry Bridges; a nephew, Johnathan Bridges; and a grandson, Bradley Bridges. Survivors include his children, Chris Bridges (wife Shelly) of Morganton, Alison Bridges and Charles Anthony Rich of Lenoir, Shawn Bridges of Charlotte, Todd Bridges of Hickory, Nick Woodie of South Carolina, Ron Buchanan of Hickory and Jordan Deloach of Granite Falls; two sisters, Nellie Torrence (husband Brenton) of Statesville and Barbara Ann Bridges of Lenoir; he is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives. A celebration of Charles’ life will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend James Wilfong officiating.
