Charles Anderson

Lenoir, NC- Charles Thomas Anderson, age 75, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Franklin, NC on July 9, 1941 to the late Verlon Anderson and Edna Cabe Anderson. He was married to Nancy Crump Anderson of the residence. Mr. Anderson retired from the furniture industry as a carver and later enjoyed using his carving skills in his own workshop where he made all sorts of crafts. He enjoyed making music with his guitar and spending lots of time with his companion, Cookie. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, Brian Anderson. Other than his wife, Mr. Anderson is survived by his children, Charles Anderson, Jr. and wife, Anita; Robert Anderson and wife, Diane and Mary Ann Mendez and husband, Victor; brother, Verlon Anderson, Jr.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mr. Anderson’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Mark Crump officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
