Chaney Starr Story

Lenoir, NC- Ms. Chaney Starr Story, age 38, of Lenoir, died Monday, March 16, 2009 at Hospice of Catawba Valley in Newton. She was born May 15, 1970 in Burke County. Chaney was a graduate of South Caldwell High School where she enjoyed cheerleading. She graduated from Caldwell Community College with a computer degree. She was preceded in death by her biological father, Gary Dean Starr and brother Kyle Ray. She is survived by her son, Justin Reese and wife Holly of Hawaii; her parents, Carol and Billy Cable of Lenoir; her biological mother Vicky Deal and husband Billie Ray Deal of Sawmills; three brothers, Keith Holt of Granite Falls; Robbie Parsons and wife Karen of Hudson; Dr. Jeffrey Ray and wife Debbie of Collettsville; two sisters, Tracey Manuel and Crystal Phillips, both of Granite Falls; 2 step-brothers, Jacob Deal and Daniel Deal both of Sawmills; 2 step-sisters, Christina Eyler of Sawmills and Mary Williams of Taylorsville. A celebration of Chaney?s life will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2009 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Keith Gilliam and Dr. Steve Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in Belleview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Evans Funeral Service of Lenoir. Pallbearers will be: Marcus Barnes, Brandon Parsons, Billy Johnson, Mike Macchia, Casey Parsons and Travis Mitchell. Honorary pallbearer will be Morris Macchia.
