C.H. Coffey

Lenoir, NC- Collis H. Coffey, Jr. “C.H.”, age 74, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, February 22, 2014. He was born in Caldwell County on September 23, 1939 to the late Collis H. Coffey, Sr. and Nellie Sumpter Coffey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Reverend Richard “Dale” Matheson. He is survived by his sister, Maxine C. Matheson; nephew, Richard D.(Rick) Matheson, Jr. and wife, Diane; niece, Kim McGalliard and husband, Doug; double first cousins, Gary Sumpter and wife, Ann and Grady Sumpter, Jr.; and several other cousins; and 16 great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service for C.H. will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 6:00 PM with Carlene Horton and Reverend Gary Matheson officiating.
