Cathy Priscilla Patterson

Ms. Cathy Priscilla Patterson, age 58, of Lenoir, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir. Born October 6, 1953 in Caldwell County, Cathy was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Marian Collett Patterson Sr. She was a member of St. Paul’s AME Church where she served on the Missionary Board and Usher Board. She was active in the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was helpful with event coordinating. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Ronald Patterson; and a sister, Mary Patterson. Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Adrian and Tyus Byrd of Lenoir; a daughter, Nichole Byrd Robinson of Hickory; two brothers and a sister in law, Arthur and Irma Patterson of Morganton, and Kenneth Patterson, Jr. of Lenoir; her grandchildren, Tylei Byrd, Corwin Byrd, Jaquan Byrd, Alexia Robinson and Siya Robinson; a great grandchild, Harmony Byrd; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Cathy’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the St. Paul’s AME Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wanda Howell, Reverend Mr. and Mrs. Larry Smith, and Minister Daniel Corpening. Interment will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
