Carroll Clontz Lenoir – Robert Carroll Clontz, 77, of Lenoir passed away on May 4, 2019 at his residence. Carroll was born on February 19, 1942 to the late Robert and Chloe Clontz of Burke County. Carroll was married for 59 years to Doris Clontz. Carroll served 15 years in law enforcement with the DMV and worked for Partnership Properties for 19 years. Carroll was a member, deacon, and Sunday School teacher at Wildwood Advent Christian Church for many years. Carroll loved children and to help others. Carroll enjoyed the outdoors and meeting new people. In addition to his parents, Carroll is preceded in death by his son Billy Clontz. In addition to his wife, Carroll is survived by his grandson Travis Clontz of Lenoir. He is survived, also, by his five great-grandchildren: Nicole Clontz; Josey Clontz and their mother Sheba Clontz; Kadin Johnston; Kaylee Johnston; and Addie Johnston. Carroll is survived by his brother, Norman Clontz of Lenoir and one nephew, Dale Clontz of Lenoir. There will be a celebration of Carroll’s life held at Wildwood Advent Christian Church on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 3:00 pm; officiated by Rev. Allen Raby. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Caldwell County Hospice and Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
