Carolyn Ann Greene

Lenoir, NC- Carolyn Ann Greene, 66, of Lenoir, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2006 at Wilkes Regional Hospital, Wilkesboro. Carolyn was born July 26, 1939 in Caldwell County to the late Nelson C. Stallings and Mary M. Stallings. She attended Calvary Advent Christian Church and worked as a foster grandparent in Caldwell County until her illness. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her love of life and the people she spent time with. Her dedication and love for children as a foster grandparent will carry and impact on the children she worked with and her sons and daughter for years to come. Her courage, strong spirit and love for the Lord brought her through many physical trials through out her illness She is survived by two sons, Steve Bumgardner and wife Deborah and Tim Bumgardner and wife Cindy, all of Lenoir and one daughter Sherry Bumgardner Sherriff and husband Randy of Statesville; two brothers, Bud and Harold Stallings and one sister Bonnie Gragg all of Lenoir; six grandchildren, Joshua Delong, Mandy Bumgardner, Erin Bumgardner, Erica King; Lindsey Bumgardner and Ryan Sherriff and one great-grandson, Austin Delong. Preceding her in death other than her parents is her sister, Lula South and one daughter, Kelly Bumgardner. A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, June 1, 2006 at Calvary Advent Christian Church with Pastor Jim Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
