Carolyn Davis

Mrs. Carolyn Marie Lipford Davis, age 73 of Lenoir passed away, Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare.She was born April 29, 1947 in Wilkes County to the late Bud and Etoy Ferguson Lipford.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Davis, an infant daughter; one sister, Betty Dula and a brother, Bud Clifford Lipford. Survivors include, two sons Buddy Landon Davis and wife Lillian of North Wilkesboro and Samuel Davis Jr. and wife Katherine of Lenoir; siblings, Julie Webster, Ann Lipford, Carl Lipford, Tommy Lipford, Mary Jane Lipford, and Linda Wilson; grandchildren, April Dixon, Deja Gibbs, Jasmine Davis, Dezhire Bradshaw, Tamarah Davis and Hailey Gibbs; four great-grandchildren; one aunt, Annie Lipford and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Davis was a member of First Church of God in Lenoir where she was a member of the Choir, the Usher Board and the Kitchen Committee.She retired from Bernhardt Plant #3 in Lenoir.She loved children and her church family.
