Carolyn Ann Casey Wyatt

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Carolyn Ann Casey Wyatt, age 71, of Lenoir, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Born July 24, 1941 in Millinocket, Maine, Carolyn was the youngest daughter of the late Carlton and Merilda Casey. Carolyn was Catholic by faith. She worked with the Department of the Navy. She was a member of the Red Cross, deploying over 25 times to disaster relief operations nationwide, receiving numerous awards for her dedication. She was a Girl Scout leader and a Den Mother. She served as president of the PTA and was a candy stripper in high school. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Lynch; and the father of her children, Travis H. Wyatt. Survivors include a daughter, Terri Wyatt of Lenoir; four sons, Alan Wyatt, wife Janice, of Sharpsburg, NC, Carl Wyatt of Stafford, VA, Rob Wyatt of Lenoir, and Barry Wyatt, wife Kim, of Swansboro, NC; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Jamie, Kristy, Eric, Travis, Luke and Sarah; Carolyn is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Chaplain Steve Butler officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
