Carol Phillips

Mrs. Carol Janice Phillips, age 79, of Lenoir passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at her home. Born August 17, 1940 in Watauga County, Carol was a daughter of the late, Walter and Pansy Tugman Lookabill.Carol was a member of the Hudson United Methodist Church which she truly loved. She was a Sunday School teacher and enjoyed singing hymns.Carol was a volunteer teacher at Hudson Elementary School and also helped out at the Shaire Center.Carol enjoyed gardening.Most of all, she will be remembered as the backbone of her family.In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Canter; and a brother in law, JB Trivette. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Walter Gene Phillips; a daughter, Mary Jane Houston; a granddaughter, Amber Lee Randall (husband Brent); a great grandson, Ace Randall; a sister, Judy Trivette; a brother, Jim Lookabill; she is also survived by numerous other relatives.
