Carol Coffey

Lenoir – Carol Sturgill Coffey, age, 67, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Amorem Hospice. She was born in Alexander County on June 25, 1954 to the late James and Rose Sturgill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Coffey; sons, James and Michael Coffey; brothers, Gary, Terry, John and Tony Sturgill; and twin sister, Carolyn Pritchard. Carol is survived by her sons, Adam Coffey and wife, Lisa; Shane Coffey and wife, Pam; grandchildren, Carl Coffey; brother, Joe Sturgill; sisters, Priscilla Osborne; Libby Jordan; and Dawn Plakas; and numerous other family members. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 5:00 until 6:30 PM. A graveside service celebrating Carol’s life will be held at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church in Sparta, NC on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Joe Sturgill officiating.
