Carl Pete Houck

Carl Houck Lenoir, NC- Mr. Carl Pete Houck, age 84, of Lenoir, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born April 2, 1928 in Johnson County, TN., he was a son of the late Estel and Ada Houck, and was married for 67 years to Hilda Cozort Houck of the home. Mr. Houck was retired from Kincaid Furniture. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Gloria Houck Thomas. In addition to his wife, he survived by his daughter, Geneva Woods and husband; grandchildren, Kenneth “K.T.” Thomas, Buddy Nolan Carson and Chastity Stewart; great-grandchildren, Spencer Thomas, Maria McKenzie Lopez, Trey Carson, Noah Roman Lopez, and Natalie Carson. The funeral service for Mr. Houck will be held at Community Baptist Church on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 3:00 with Pastor Waitsel Beard officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in Laurel Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
