Carl Wilson Bristol

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Carl Wilson Bristol, age 68, of Lenoir, died Sunday, June 6, 2010 at his home. Born May 23, 1942 in Catawba County, Mr. Bristol was a son of the late Richard Earl and Minnie Johnson Bristol and the husband of Diane Pritchard Bristol of the home. He was of the Christian faith and had worked for Bernhardt Furniture Company for over 40 years. Carl loved to hike and study genealogy. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Bristol and one sister, Coleen Roark. Surviving other than his wife is his son, Mark Pritchard of Lenoir; his daughter, Jackie Sides and husband Darren of Lenoir; 4 daughters by a previous marriage, Teresa Bristol, Lori Ann Bristol, Beth Bristol and Carla Bristol, all of Lenoir; 1 sister, Dorothy Townsend of Lenoir; 3 brothers, George Bristol of Wilkesboro; Earl Bristol and Lee Bristol, both of Lenoir; 4 grandchildren, Russell Gatten, Summer Gatten, Brittany Bristol and Mason Sides and one great granddaughter, Katlynn Johnston and 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren by a previous marriage. A celebration of Mr. Bristol?s life will be held 5:00 PM Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Nazareth Advent Christian Church with Reverend Phil Setzer and Reverend Aaron Stamey officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 5 PM, one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be: Scott Philyaw, Ritchie Bristol, Bobby Bristol, Darren Sides, Randy Waters and Ricky Cable. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Travis Clontz, Carroll Clontz, Michael Phillips and Jeff Pritchard.
