Bud Gibson

Lenoir- Mr. Earl “Bud” Edward Gibson, age 92, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Gibson was born in Caldwell County on October 12, 1926 to the late Oscar L. Gibson and Jessie Crump Gibson. Mr. Gibson was a life-long, active member of Union Grove Baptist Church and loved his church family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Pastor Randy Gibson; an infant daughter; brother, Tommy Gibson and sister, Faye Gibson Harmon. Mr. Gibson is survived by his wife of 72 years, Floye Smith Gibson; daughter-in-law, Wanda Gibson; grandson, Jamieson Gibson; granddaughter, Alisha Gibson; sister, Ruby Gibson Watson; several nieces and nephews; and his special caretaker, Evelyn Scragg. A graveside service will be held at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Sam Craven officiating.
