Bryan Powell

Bryan Edwin Powell, age 64, of Lenoir, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022. He was born August 22, 1957 in Caldwell County to the late Dan and Georgie Powell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Dennis Powell and Keith Powell; and his nieces, Kimberly and Shannon Powell. Left to cherish his memory is his fiance of 19 years, Deborah Smith; daughter, Brandy Hamilton and husband David; daughter, Janette Jenkins and husband Bobby; son, Joshua Powell; sister, Carolyn Lawing and husband Harvey; brothers, Ray Powell and wife Marie; Bruce Powell; and Gary Powell; 9 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Bryan worked with railroad crews as a branch manager for Professional Transportation, Inc in Florence, SC before retiring and moving back home to be closer to his family whom he loved. He absolutely adored his granddaughter, Bristyl.Bryan was the most perfect PawPaw, who would do absolutely anything for his "tater tot". The two were inseparable. Bryan was a man of faith and loved the Lord. He was a member of Community Baptist Church. Bryan never met a stranger. He was truly a talented singer who loved karaoke, talking to anyone who would listen, Georgia Bulldogs football and a jokester with a wonderful sense of humor. A memorial service celebrating Bryan’s life will be held at Tabernacle Advent Christian Church on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Bob Copeland officiating.
