Brenda Philyaw Clough

Lenoir, NC – Brenda Philyaw Clough, age 63, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Caldwell County on July 16, 1949 to the late Clifford E. Philyaw and Myrtle Crump Philyaw. Her brother, James E. Philyaw also preceded her in death. Brenda enjoyed being outside in the beautiful outdoors and had a passion for good music and loving friends. She is survived by her son, Bobby Severt, Jr. and wife Tanya of Lenoir; grandchildren, Taylor Severt of Lenoir, Branson Severt of Lenoir, and Amber Severt of Hickory; and 2 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held at Globe Baptist Church on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 2:00 with Joe Alvarado officiating. Following the service the family invites friends to join them at John’s River Camp for food, fellowship and music provided by Charlie Carpenter and friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service at the church.
