Brenda Bumgarner Cannon

Brenda Bumgarner Cannon, age 75, of Hudson, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.  She was born April 24, 1947 in Caldwell County to the late Grady Annas and Viola Bumgarner Hice.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Cannon; and a son, Scott Lee Cannon.

Brenda was a homemaker when her children were small and later worked in the healthcare industry in nutrition.  She was a lifelong member of Temple Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Chris Cannon and Marie Conner of Conover, Greg Cannon and Sherry Hamby of Hudson; brothers, Leonard Bumgarner and wife Ann, Gary Annas and Mary, Roger Annas and wife Angie, all of Hudson, Jim Thompson of Charlotte; sister, Donna Shelton and husband Danny of Hudson; and her beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Harley; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 23, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Temple Hill Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Clyde Bumgarner and Reverend Darrell Hatchell.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at the church.

Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
