Brenda Angley

Brenda Angley, age 72, of Granite Falls, North Carolina passed away on February 19, 2023 at Amorem Hospice in Hudson.

Brenda was born October 20, 1951 to the late Bynum and Verna Mae Pennell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Bowman and Christine Clark (Jimmy); mother-in-law, Betty Burris Angley; father-in-law, John Angley; sister-in-law Rachel Angley Suttle (Larry); brother-in-laws,  Douglas Small and Larry “Cowboy” Angley (Jesse) and great nieces Jessica Laws and Autumn Wright.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, John Douglas “Doug” Angley; son Scott Angley; brothers, Randy Pennell (Cindy), Howard Pennell (Wendy); brother in law, Timothy Angley (Janie); sisters, Delores Small and Donna Hinson; sister in law, Sandy Angley and numerous nieces and nephews.

Brenda loved spending time in the kitchen, whether it be baking her delicious cakes, or sitting around the table playing Yahtzee. She was like a second mother to most in our family, showing love, compassion, and comfort to everyone in need. She was quick to pack her suitcase to go stay with any family member or friend who needed the help of a caregiver. Brenda will be greatly missed by many.

A memorial service to honor Brenda Angley will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Steve Parker officiating at Miller Hill Baptist Church, 1230 Virginia St SW, Lenoir, NC 28645.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Amorem Hospice, 526 Robbinswood Place, Hudson 28638.
