Brandon Shane Mitchell

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Brandon Shane Mitchell, age 49 of Lenoir, died Saturday, August 22, 2009. Brandon was born October 9, 1959 in Connersville, Indiana. He was the assistant trucking supervisor with Bernhardt Furniture and worked at Cedar Rock Country Club. Brandon loved to play the guitar. He is survived by his mother, Judith Mitchell of Indiana; his father, Calvin Mitchell and wife Debra of Indiana; one son, Tyron Mitchell of Chicago, Ill; one brother, Steven Mitchell and wife Sue of Indiana; two sisters, Tonya Whipple of Indiana; Robin Smith of NC; Fiancée, Kay Lawson and her daughters, Mona Greer of Hudson; Marisa Lawson of Granite Falls; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He is also survived by two grandmothers, Phylis Maze and Janet Paxton of Indiana; uncles, Doug Maze and wife Debbie of Ohio; Ronnie Mitchell of Texas; nieces, Makayla Bowman, Katelyn Smith and Carla Cole, all of NC; Heather Howell and husband Charlie of Ohio; Sara Mitchell of Indiana; nephews, Billy Cole and wife Tosha and Tyler Mitchell and wife Tonya of Indiana; one great-niece, Allison Howell of Ohio; 3 great nephews, Zachary Hughes of NC; Jackson and Nathan Cole, both of Indiana and special cousins, Nicholas Maze, Casey and Seth Boldwin and Adam and Holden Boldwin. A celebration of Brandon?s life will be held 4:00 PM, Sunday, August 30, 2009 in the chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Rodney Raby and Reverend Roger Horton officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 until 4:00 PM, prior to the service at Evans Funeral Service.
