Boyce Hicks

Mr. Boyce Hicks, age 83 of Hudson passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018 at his home. Born August 28, 1935 in Caldwell County, Boyce was a son of the late Cecil and Pearl Hatley Hicks.He was a member of Ambassador Baptist Church.He was an avid camper and fisherman.He had worked many years in maintenance at Singer and Lexington Furniture Companies.Boyce was a veteran of the United States Army.In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Hicks; a sister, Merle Harris. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Leona Hicks of the Home; two sons, Roger Hicks of Hudson and Barry Hicks of Denver; a sister, Bonnie Church of Hudson; a brother, David Hicks (wife Doris) of Hudson; eight grandchildren, Tim Adams, Nigel Hicks, Tristan Hicks, Josh Hicks, Amanda Hicks, Carrie Hicks, James Hicks and Justin Hicks; he is also survived by four great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. A graveside celebration of Boyce’s life will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.
