Bonny Griffin Norris

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Bonny Griffin Norris, age 63, of Lenoir, died Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Born July 29, 1944 in Mountain City, TN, Mr. Norris was a son of the late Frank Norris, Sr. and Nancy Dunn Norris. He was the husband of Penny Elaine Anderson Norris of the home. Mr. Norris had worked in the furniture industry and was a member of South Lenoir Church of God where he was very active. Other than his wife he is survived by one son, Joshua Timothy (T.J.) Norris of Goldsboro; 2 daughters, Sarah Norris of Lenoir; Elizabeth Henry of California; one granddaughter, Abby Norris of Lenoir; 2 brothers, Kurt Norris of Mountain City, TN; Frank Norris, Jr. and wife Kathy of Granite Falls; 2 sisters, Shirley Wallace of Mountain City, TN and Jennie Norris of Greenville, TN. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Martin Norris and one brother, Johnny Norris. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at South Lenoir Church of God with Reverend Howard Smith, Jr. and Reverend Phillip Case officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 PM in the Wilson Cemetery in Mountain City, TN. The family will receive friends at South Lenoir Church of God on Tuesday, from 10 until 11 a.m., one hour prior to the service.
