Bonnie Opal Prestwood

January 29, 1930 — March 16, 2018

Opal Prestwood Bonnie Opal Watson (Prestwood) Crotts, 88, entered into the presence of the Lord on March 16, 2018 after an extended illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her throughout her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Opal was born to the late Royal Dixon Watson and Bessie Lee Bryant Watson on January 29, 1930. She was a long time member of Whitnel Pentecostal Church. Opal was survived by her siblings Jean Price and husband Robert Price; brother Ned Watson and his wife Doris; her son, Donald Conard Prestwood; daughters, Carolyn Jean Prestwood, Norma Jo Prestwood Sumlin and husband Clint Allen Sumlin; and grandchildren, Steven Coffey, Norman S. Prestwood, Bonnie M. Sumlin, and many beloved nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Charlotte Prestwood; and siblings, Ruby Bumgarner, Jewel Nelson, and Royal Dixon Watson Jr. The family will receive friends and family at Evans Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens and officiated by Rev. David Crisp. We would like to offer a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care for their special care during this difficult time.
